Architecture  Management And Research

Helpful Tips & Links

When choosing an Architect take the time to fully investigate what your needs and desires are. First things first,  before the architect draws anything, set a time for two counseling sessions.

1.  Initial meeting:  Meet your architect at the site.  Submit the     following to the architect:
· Scope of work ( include the ‘wish list’)
· Copy of site plan
· Budget/Time frame for design and construction
· Theme, articles, pictures, desires, objectives, limitations, design trends, explain how you got to this point

2.  Allow the architect time to research zoning and building codes, covenants, consultants required, special district requirements and restrictions etc.

3.  Schedule a second meeting to review architect's research information.  Ask as many questions as possible.

The architect will now tell you if your budget is realistic, if your dream can become reality or if it is just a "dream deferred". If you are comfortable with the information, sign a contract with the architect.

Sit back and enjoy what will unfold.
