Genell V. Anderson

Ms. Anderson is the Founder and Owner of AMAR Group, LLC. She started the Organization 30 years ago and has committed those years to ensure the success of her business. Ms. Anderson has 37 years of experience as an architect in the industry. She is registered in DC, Maryland, Virginia and South Carolina. Ms. Anderson is an outstanding woman who wears many hats. She is also an ICC Certified Building and Plumbing inspector for AMAR Group, LLC. As Principal Designer and Lead Inspector, her experience includes: assessments, feasibility studies and inspections of new and existing structures; construction management; renovation; adaptive-reuse and new building design for educational, recreational, residential and commercial building types. Ms. Anderson has also received the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation. Genell is also a board member of the Parks at Main Street (TPMS), that serves Manor Park and Riggs Park communities.

With a wealth of experience in project management, spanning construction, contracts & procurement, and budget & finance, Roshea’ is the perfect fit for our team. We are thrilled to have her on board as our 3rd Party Inspections Assistant, bringing her positive attitude and dedication to building strong relationships that boost business results. When she’s not busy being a rockstar at work, Roshea’ loves getting creative in the kitchen, spending time with her loved ones, or exploring new destinations. Her heart is full of compassion and kindness, and she’s always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Leslie is a native Washingtonian and received her B.S. in Biology and her MBA in Business Administration from Trinity University. She is excited to join the AMAR Group LLC team!

Tremayne has been working in the construction industry in several capacities throughout his career, starting as a mason’s apprentice in the early 2000’s and more recently as a design and construction project manager for 10+ years in a professional capacity. He has a wealth of knowledge, having obtained a b Bachelor of Science from Hampton University in 2013, followed by a Master of Architecture in 2014. His expertise includes pre-construction efforts, design and documentation, estimating, claims negotiations, construction practices, QA/QC, and construction management. he has 10+ years producing and managing project construction documents as well as bid manuals, preliminary budgetary estimates, take offs and change documentation for a wide variety of projects ranging from single family dwellings to commercial condo communites and heavy site/civil works including phased commercial mixed-use facilities. In addition to designing these types of projects he has managed their construction and developed/implemented repair programs.

Tremayne also brings strong quality control and quality assurance abilities specializing in ready mix concrete and aggregates validation through certifications in ACI sanctioned concrete and NRC regulated nuclear gauge testing used in compaction and compressive testing. In addition to concrete quality control, he also possesses the knowledge and capability to conduct, maintain and implement SWPPP measures through certification with the EPA in an effort to strengthen the link between our obligations to the environment and the impact of the construction process.ss

Eric Grant

Architectural Designer

Eric is a dynamic and ambitious designer with 8 years experience in the drawing of various residential projects, commercial buildings, millwork, and door designs. He developed his keen sense of engineering methods and gained skills by working for an engineering firm with the different professions. Since attending the Boston Architectural College, he has worked in a couple of design companies. Eric is a hard worker and easily comprehends new tasks. He possesses impeccable technical and computer skills with advanced knowledge of Auto CAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Lumion, Sketch Up, Adobe software and other graphics communication programs.

Cynthia Johnson

Senior Architect - Project Manager

Ms. Johnson is a Senior Architect, Project Manager, at AMAR Group LLC. She has served as Senior Project Manager for several firms throughout the Washington Metropolitan area, over the course of the past 46 years. Her experience includes preparing program analysis, code analysis, construction documents and specifications for new construction, tenant layouts, additions and alterations for tenant layouts, restaurants, patient healthcare, multi and single-family residential projects.

Ms. Johnson’s experience includes the design, preparation of construction documents, permitting and construction management for the Permit and Business Center at the former Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. She also served as Structural Plan Reviewer in the Building and Land Regulations Permit Processing Center.

Milton L. Evering

Mr. Evering has 36 years of experience being a civil engineer and quality control manager. He is registered as a professional engineer in DC, MD, and VA. He has spent 27 of those years with AMAR Group, LLC. Mr. Evering is certified by the National Bridge Inspection Program (through FHWA). His experience includes road and bridge construction, inspection of concrete, reinforcing steel, placement of engineered fill, piles placement, caisson, guardrail installation, sound wall installation, sediment and erosion control, construction of stormwater management ponds, maintenance of traffic in work zones, construction and maintenance of cofferdams for bridge construction, and railroad track construction. Mr. Evering has designed drainage systems and performed site surveys. Mr. Evering has served as a consultant to FEMA and USAID with experience in design, inspection and estimating the cost to return sites and structures to pre-disaster conditions.

Ms. Williams has 7 years of experience in business administration and human resources. At AMAR Group, Ms. Williams is responsible for managing the 3rd party inspection department. She coordinates inspection requests, pulls permit authorizations to inspect, and creates certificates for approved 3rd party inspections. She also submits all inspection results to DOB and administers gas tags to clients for approved gas inspections. Ms. Williams is also responsible for managing HUD inspections for Rapid Rehousing for Greater Washington Urban League. She also manages HUD public housing inspections for Brailsford & Dunlavey Inc, across District of Columbia Housing Authority’s properties. Ms. Williams is always implementing and staying abreast of all 3rd party inspection policy updates from DCRA. Lastly, Ms. Williams enjoys marketing for AMAR Group, LLC.

Taylora Imes-Thomas

Ms. Imes- Thomas has 26 years of experience as a project manager. At AMAR Group she is responsible for project management, schedule control, consultant coordination, and client coordination of projects. She has interdisciplinary expertise that has allowed her to work in several for profit, non-profit, and various government agencies. Her experience includes: needs assessments, accessibility review, feasibility studies, design development, schematic design, construction documentation, permitting and construction administration. Programs: BIM Revit modelling, InDesign, PhotoShop, and Microstation SE.

Prior to AMAR Group, Ms. Imes-Thomas worked for 18 years at Torti Gallas in which she specialized in publicly-funded multifamily housing. She served as an Executive Appointee to the Inclusionary Housing Board in Baltimore city (2019-2020).

Tanya Wells

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Tanya is a lifelong Washingtonian. Tanya graduated from Dunbar Sr. High School and went on to the University of The District of Columbia where she majored in Computer Science. She worked for Metropolitan Federal Savings and Loan as a Sr. Customer Service Representative. Tanya was responsible for training all new Customer Service Representatives, After leaving the banking industry, Tanya went on to work for Blake Construction Co., Inc. and Capital Construction Consultants, Inc. as an Executive Assistant. Tanya loves helping people and learning new adventures. Her hobbies are reading, swimming, fishing, cooking, and solving puzzles.
