Project Manager
AMAR Group, LLC is looking to hire a new: Architectural Project Manager
Day-to-Day Duties Include:
Interface with clients
Produce construction documents for submittal to DOB and contractor.
Ability to take a small project from beginning to end with little assistance.
Common Duties Include:
Prepare scale drawings or architectural designs, using computer-aided design or other tools.
Direct activities of technicians engaged in preparing drawings or specification documents.
Prepare contract documents for clients
Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time.
Meet with clients to review or discuss architectural drawings.
Develop final construction plans that include aesthetic representations of the structure or details for its construction.
Conduct periodic on-site observations of construction work to monitor compliance with plans.
Plan layouts of architectural projects. Coordinate with engineers.
Design structures that incorporate environmentally friendly building practices or concepts,
Perform predesign services.
Monitor proposed building sites to determine suitability for construction.
Create three-dimensional or interactive representations of designs, using computer assisted design software.
Design environmentally sound structural upgrades to existing buildings, such as natural lighting systems, green roofs, or rainwater collection systems.
Gather information related to projects’ environmental sustainability or operational efficiency.
Prepare specifications, studies, or reports.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years’ experience
Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
Attention to Detail
Understand DC and national building codes
ICC Inspector
AMAR Group, LLC is looking to hire a new: ICC Certified Inspector
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess an International Code Council (ICC) Certification in all or some of the following trades: Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Green.
3 years’ experience in construction inspections (preferably in Washington, DC)
Must have reliable personal transportation to and from multiple job sites within DC Metro area
Responsibilities:
Perform 3rd Party Code field inspections of properties during various stages of construction.
Evaluate construction for compliance with approved plans, the appropriate codes, and other applicable regulations.
Maintain detailed records and reports related to inspection activities.
Possess the ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors and business owners.
Perform inspections on location at building, in which there may be exposure to a variety of potential personal hazards in construction zones.
Requires physical exertion during on-site inspections, including the ability to continually stand, bend, stoop, reach, crouch and climb.
