ARHA: Park Place and Saxony Renovation

Overview

AMAR Group, LLC collaborated with the Alexandria Housing Authority (ARHA) to renovate 38 units at Park Place and 5 units at Saxony Square. This project aimed to ensure a 20-year viability aligned with current housing market trends. Enhancements included new appliances, LVT flooring, bathroom and kitchen upgrades, lighting, and fresh paint. These improvements increased the property value, attracted additional revenue, and provided residents with durable, market-rate living spaces.

The renovation embraced biophilic design principles, incorporating nature-inspired colors, textures, and patterns to create inviting interiors. Key features included blue glass tiles in bathrooms to evoke the tranquility of water and organic countertops. Existing structures were preserved while interiors were modernized with durable materials to ensure longevity and promote well-being.

Community & Social Impact

This project significantly improved the quality of affordable housing, fostering community pride and stability. The upgrades not only enhanced living conditions but also generated additional revenue for ARHA, enabling further community improvements.

Project Outcome

Completed on time and within budget, the renovation received positive feedback from residents for the improved aesthetics and functionality. The project added significant value to ARHA’s property portfolio, ensuring long-term viability and market appeal.
